Purchased for about $25. Drank from Vinum Bordeaux glass.

Opened and poured off half the bottle into a 375 for the next day. Decanted the remainder for about an hour. The color is a beautiful deep purple with only the slightest bit of banding on the rim.

This one is very tightly wound up. After another hour, it started to open up. Has that wonderful Bordeaux nose that I am growing to love. Nice aromas of smoke and leather, with just a hint of fruit behind it. Not sure what the fruit was, but something dark – maybe black cherry?

Tannins are very tight and drying at this point. It really dries out your mouth, but in a very nice way. Palate is reminiscent of the nose, with a nice, long finish. This one has quite a bit of life to go.

This is a great wine for a 2nd label. I will hold my remaining bottles for at least a year before trying again. Recommended.
