Tried 2 times. Decanted for 2 hours. Very dark ink color,licorice,black current,and quite strong tannin. The finish is little dry and hot.
Some may argue that it's too young to drink it but I don't see any potential to improve over time.Too extracted? I'll wait few more years but very disappinted.. 86pts

Brother. I had this about a year ago at Mouton for a 10-year vertical of Clerc. I had a better impression but I also thought it was tight and a bit tough. It showed plenty of currants, minerals and blackberries on the nose. The palate was full and tannic. I also noted it being slightly dry on the finish. But I thought it would come around; so I gave it 90 points. I thought it had the structure to improve with age and I noted not to drink it until 2007. Let's wait and see who is right!

I've got a 3L of this wine. By the sounds of it, I should wait until it's at least 15 years old before popping the cork.
