All I can say is WOW, especially at $22. This is one of the best red burg that I have come across in a long time considering the great QPR.
Notes: medium-bodied; great, dark color--the color reminds of a dark merlot; aromas of earth, mushrooms, slight tar, flora; when I first opened and smelled straight from bottle, I thought it may be corked; however, after pouring and letting it breath for over 1/2 hour, the nose jumped out of the glass; Doc rating=90-91 points
Thanks for the TN's Doc. I bought some bottles o this wine, but have not had any yet. Won't get them until late October-early November. Good to know you liked it. Have you had the '99 Chassagne Montrachet Clos de la Boudriotte?. That's another one I'm waiting for. All of the 99's from V. Girardin that I've had so far, have been a strong buy item.
