i think you're going to find this characterstic of most 06' Pinots from SRH... some exceptions might be wines like Cargasacchi that are made in a slightly more restrained style to begin with

I recently had this wine at the winery and I agree with the notes, though as a rule, I don't give points to wines . . . For the first time in the past three vintages, at this stage in their lives, I preferred the Terraces to Carries, mainly because I think it has more 'stuffing' and will therefore age better . . . As far as SRH pinots go, I would say that most are more austere and less fruit forward than 05, but they are in general 'coming around' and tasting pretty darned good now, with lots of upside potential (Disclaimer, Fess Parker Winery, for whom I work, has a couple of SRH pinots on the market) . . . Cheers!

FWIW this seemed to have much less stem than other years. It was a very pleasant and appropriate nuance, and certainly not overdone.
So much wine.....so little time!!!

They released their 07 single vyd wines this weekend - had a big bbq as they do every year the night of our local Harvest Festival. Have not heard how the wines showed yet, but hope to shortly. I'm pretty positive they showed wonderfully - 07 is going to be a very very good year for SRH pinot . . . .
