Pale green-gold color, aromas of grapefruit jump out at you along with some slate, flavors of pears balanced nicely by a tart yet piquant grapefruit acidity with a slightly bitter note on the finish. It’s tasty but hardly complex. Frankly I was expecting something more from a 2001 auslese, 90.

Who do you have to probe around here to get a chardonnay?
