My second bottle of this wine. Light gold color. Bright nose of lemon, creamy tangerine, vanilla (creamsicle?). Bright citrus flavors dominate the midpalate amongst notes of stones, minerals, and vanilla. Good finish. Nice depth and very tasty, but more in a style reminiscent of the new world. 90 points. Smile

This bottle seemed fine, but I liked the first bottle a little more. Both bottles were from the same auction lot but were handed over in a generic cardboard case. Smile

The white Burgs I have had from Girardin have been very New World as well. Seems like the oak usage is a little heavy handed.

That's not the first time I have heard that criticism nor experienced it in a Girardin (the Rully for example)but I did not find it particularly true of the Le Champ Gain. I like big CA chards as well, so I tend to be right at home with this chateau. Smile
