Itchin' for a reason to try this Aussie beauty...so I pan-seared and broiled some nice filets. Not decanted.

Deep cranberry-black coloration, overall clear though the last glass had quite a bit of fine sediment. Lots of long, thick, clear legs.

Big nose of mint, cedar, and black fruit - the mint being the hook. More mint and black fruit on the palate, w/the cedar taking a backstage role but supporting nonetheless. Deep blackberry fruit, soft supple tannins, and a mid-length finish. The mint stays thru the entire taste, and collects in the sides of your cheeks and makes you think, damn, this is good!

WS says 88 pts., I'd go 89-90 'cuz I love mint in my Cabs. Not a blockbuster but extremely nice. I wouldn't think this will improve much more, but should hold out for a few more years at least. If anyone has any they'd like to give me I'd gladly accept! Big Grin Wink Big Grin

...hey, chief - you gonna finish that bottle?
