Visited Del Dotto and Cave Girl yesterday. She recommended the Dijon Clones and a local restaurant, "Fume'".

Since Pine Ridge is so close to Del Dotto, I stopped by and enjoyed the Dijon Clones (and other wines). Bought four of them at the winery, looking forward to finding more.

Board-O, I think Pine Ridge would be a worthy stop on next summer's journey. I made a few contacts while there, and look forward to arranging some customized time there for our little entourage.

<< NOTE: Pine Ridge is out of 2001 Chenin Blanc - Viognier, our September TAA wine, so buy it where and when you can find it locally! >>

Sounds great to me, stemor. I have a couple of questions for you. How much did you pay for the Dijon Clones? Since I've never had any other Pine Ridge wines, what other ones did you taste and how were they?

Rucchin;
I had the '99 Dijon Clones last night and as I have stated, I am not a frequent white drinker, so I have this very simple TN. While I made a special trip to purchase a quantity of the '00, the '99 had more of what I typically do not like about Chardonnay.

Board-O,

I paid $25 at the winery. It retails here for the same, although I understand that it is available in the $20&less range elsewhere.

I have to apologize. I was in search of the Dijon Clones and any interesting info on the CB/Viognier, my September TAA. I tried a few other wines too, but knew that Latour67 knows this winery inside and out ... literally ... so I didn't take any further notes.

Oh, and it was my third winery visit of the morning/lunch hour, hadn't eaten yet, and was getting a little woozy. 15 wines, no spitting! [Big Grin]

That's one of the advantages opf visitng the wineries of Canada and New York. You won't even want to swallow most of the wines. Spitting is fitting. [Razz]

I will have to make a mental note to go see if I can find this. Sounds like it is definitely worth a try. Thanks all!
