My friend opened a bottle for my birthday last week. Never really heard of it before...
Golden straw color, thick on the tongue. First 20 minutes not much.
After 20 minutes it opened nicely, lemon meringue pie, creamy and citrisy. Madarin oranges. Nice mid length finish. Nothing like your typical California Chard, closest thing I've had to it recently was a 1999 Louis Latour Montrachet. 90+ points. My friend bought some at auction for $15.

I've always throught Talbott made a decent chard. Regarding the price, was that recently? or had he been holding onto it for awhile. $15 is a very good price if he got it recently, although they may have had some concerns about the longevity of a CA chard. Which certainly could have depressed the price a bit.
