Had this fairly recently at a restaurant in Santa Barbara. Lousy restaurant (rare I say that), but this was a "damn good" wine. My recollection is it opened up beautifully when allowed to linger in the glass.

kumazam,
If you like the fruit with well balancedness and little alcohol on the palate, try Turley's 03 Old Vines...very similar and less expensive.

FWIW, this is the style of zin that I prefer rather than the Segehesio style.

Bella -

funny you say that, because i love Seghesio Zin's, and actually recommended them to the people that opened this

the profile of this wine reminded me alot of the 02' Seghesio Old Vine

Rosenblum is more similar to Turley style than Seghesio is. (Rosenblum being more fruity and jammy)

I'm still wondering if the two half bottles of Seghesio Zins I had were off bottles since I didn't get the fruit forwardness you did and that being the reason I called them "thin zins."

"Thin" has nothing to do with fruit forwardness. "Thin" is a term describing lack of body and character based and judged on the varietal you're drinking compared to the same varietal. (IE: a thin port a thin cab etc).

Seghesios are full bodied Zins and are not thin at all compared to most Zinfandels.

Truly unbelievable. School must be very difficult.

Just one more sip.

Bella, I've seen your picture. I hope you have a mirror so you can see your toes.

Go run some food over with your car, the put cheddar cheese on salmon, put ribeye in a blender, and blanch something in flour. I sure hope you don't reproduce. it would be very cruel of you to do so.

Just one more sip.

Ever heard of being unique old man? I usually respect my elders but you're just one nasty old man.

So what if I have a little pudge? It's better than what you have. We've never seen a picture of you; therefore, I can only imagine what you look like. That "you can't bend over to tie your shoe" crack was about you being too old, not too fat...I thought I should clarify since you can't comprehend.

I'll be here forever, on the other hand, I only have to put up with you for maybe another few years until you croak.

Keep hoping, kitchen wizard. I'm not as ancient as you think. Just please don't reproduce. No sense screwing up another life. One is enough.

Just one more sip.

What does reproducing have to do with anything? Atleast I am still able to reproduce. You can't even get to step 1 of reproducing without your Cialis.

Just remember, you started this. I have said nothing about you but you choose to take pokes at me whenever you feel like it. You are a pathetic existance.

At least I can spell "existence." School must be very hard for you. Very hard. Smile

Just one more sip.
