This wine is a blend if 70% Cabernet, 18% Merlot, 9% Zinfandel, and 3% Cabernet Franc. The color is a medium dark, clear ruby, and the nose offers a lot of promise, with the Zin component clearly identifiable with it’s brambly contribution, along with notes of cedar, cassis, leather, and dusty plum. Medium light in body, this wine falls short in the mid-palate, coming across slightly diluted, with moderate tannins, and not much depth. An enjoyable wine to be sure, but not one to seek out. 86 points, drink now.
