The CWM drank this tiny 2 bottle vertical when Dino (aka Pyang) came to town. It was a wonderful evening hosted by Anwar and Trigirl who hosted about 25-30 friends and board members at their home. I decided to put these notes here instead of in the existing Viader threads because I felt like it.

1999 Viader Proprietary Red - USA, California, Napa Valley (3/31/2006)
2nd time I have had this wine. The last time was about 3 years ago. This was opened at Anwars on Saturday next to the 2000 Viader. This was the better bottle in my opinion. A very pretty wine which has shed most of the firm tannins it had 3 years ago and is drinking very smoothly. Integrated now. Notes of cherry and red fruit. My original review was based on potential. This rating is based on how the wine is drinking now. 91-92 points.

2000 Viader V - USA, California, Napa Valley (3/31/2006)
Powell brought a signed magnum of this wine to Anwar's house last Saturday when he was in town. We drank it side by side with the 1999 Viader. Not on par with the 1999 in my opinion. Some of the same cherry notes as in the 1999 along with raspberry. However, the fruit was a little thinner. 87 points.
