Nose on opening heavy oak with light floral, maybe lavender; the oak fades after maybe half an hour. Medium orange red color, not ruby at all but no bricking at the edge either. Flavor of tart cherries with hint of citrus. Nicely mouth-fillingly tart with smooth tannins. Moderate finish, maybe 15+ seconds. Fruit get a little stronger with time. Really went great with some boeuf bourguignonne. I'm saying 87 points but I liked it more than that especially with the food.
