A blend of 85% Shiraz and 15% Grenache, this big, smooth oaky red shows characteristics of each grape. In the glass, it’s an opaque purple with obvious viscosity. The nose shows roasted coffee, milk chocolate, plum and vanilla. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, very smooth and creamy, with layers of mouth-filling flavors echoing the nose, including roasted coffee, dark plums, chocolate, anise and vanilla. Very soft tannins on the lingering juicy finish. A delicious bottle of red wine for not a lot of money – about $16 retail. I’d say 91 points.

This sounds like a great deal, bf. Do you remember what region it was from? Barossa? McLaren Vale?

Thanks,

Otis
