I saw some very positive references to this wine from an off-line a few months back, so I'm assuming there will be some who don't agree with this TN....

Splash decanted for 2 hours prior to drinking. Opaque purple in the decanter; nose of blackberry, dark chocolate and an herbal component – maybe sage? On the palate, it was medium-bodied with similar flavors – dark chocolate and blackberry and herb, but some pretty heavy tannins clamped down on the finish, leading me to believe that this wine needs a couple of years cellar time before it can really show its best.
Right now, 88 points. (Maybe higher later…?) I paid about $22/btl. and have one left. I'll leave it until 2005 or so...

BFisher,
Agree that this youngster is still early in its development stage. Be patient.

Cheers!
And remember: Life's too short to drink bad wine.

BF:
If you can land some of the Januik 99 merlot, it is drinking much better than the cab right now.
I am holding two of the cab, and will wait a few more years. I had one this summer, and also found that it had a very smoky profile.

Soooo, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?
