we brought the bottle from France, and it was the first bottle we've had in 10 days. Disjoint, heavy alchohol on the nose, not much remains from it's Paris glory.
NEXT!

thank you for your wonderful comments. It's beyond me why everybody thinks you are a village idiot if you live in San Francisco, big metropolis.

You welcome, cretin.
I have to say, your tasting "impressions", or whatever the heck one can call your moronic attempts to comprehend a noble wine, are truly impressive. As always, you've expressed nothing but depth of your own ineptitude.

care to tell that in my face? Don't go yellow on me, grunny. Can you find a single bone in your body to look like a man?
Say YES, please, and I'm all yours.

Grunhauser, it seems you're from Kazakhstan (sp.), so you're more close to Serge than you think... Big Grin

Serge, I have a few of these but I'm letting them sleep for at least five more years. The 2001s can be in a 'strange phase' now and Talbot is always a bit hard when young.

Still, St.-Julien rocks!

Roel,
I loved young Talbot in March in Paris,
but now...
maybe you right and I'll leave the last bottle to sit for 5 years. Thanks for the idea!

Great, he is not just a misogynist, he's a racist too. Roll Eyes I think the package is complete now.

No moron, I'm not from Kazakhstan. It's a joke, as in humor, something an invertebrate like you is not capable to understand.

I think it was probably just to early for a 2001 Talbot.

PH,
there are few circumstances at play

1) that wasn't my first bottle of Talbot,
I brought it back home for a good reason

2) that was my first bottle after 10 days abstinence...

anyway,
I'll keep the last one for 5 years and share how it went in 2010

Roel,
when they do surgery on you with complications, we'll count your days of abstinence and make fun of 'em
