2001 J.C.Conde Ribera del Duero Neo -- very dark, almost barrel-sample purple; big nose of espresso, chocolate, dark berries; very mouth-filling, loaded with blackberry, plum, mineral, black pepper, sage, coffee flavours; long finish with lots of very fine tannins that are survived by the fruit. A very balanced wine that should age well. About 94-95 pts. Back label says made from over 50-year old vines, which makes sense.

I bought a case of this Friday, and am glad I did.
