1999 Arietta Kongsgaard "60/40 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc

Dark color ,great dark fruit fruity nose, big powerful entry rich , full-bodied, great structure, with earthy currant, herb, cedar, pencil lead and deep, complex mineral that show in the leathery long finish with leathery tongue drying firm tannins .

with that much cab franc i couldnt really call it a merlot. with that much pencil lead it showed more like a Cab such as the 99 Araujo cab

it would be a great food only wine match with a big steak and earthy sauces
