I recently received this as a blind gift exchange from Tastewine2 at the December Chicago Offline dinner. I don't know much about it so I hope TW2 posts some info.

This deep maroon wine exhibits lush sweet aromatics of black licorice, crushed rose petals, cassis and pepper. The dry bitter finish starts with sweet cherry, minerals, pepper and leather, but quickly moves towards oak. Strangely, I also picked up an apple schnapps flavor that accompanies the oak on the finish. A curious wine to say the least. 88
