2000 Voyager Estate Cabernet-Merlot - Australia, Western Australia, Margaret River (9/30/2005)
This was served up at Haggis' "happy day" on Saturday. This wine wass not to my liking. It showed a little bricking which was very unusual for a wine so young. This made me question either the shipping or storage of this wine prior to purchase. I thought it showed a high glycerin level and lacked overall balance. A cough syrup component was on the palate. Not undrinkable and it did have some redeeming qualities. 81 points.

Well, VM, this was the only Aussie red I really liked. I thought it was balanced, although a little fruity, and a nice oak touch. A wine to drink young, I would say, not for long-term holding. HI=88
