Holy Morisoli!!!!

This is definitely the best '99 CA Cab. I've had yet. It's got it all. Tastes like a 1st growth Bordeaux, but with a Napa Valley floor terroir. Absolutely incredible structure and complexity. Dark red rich fruit, vanilla bean, and carmel on the palate. Color is a deep garnet red with hints of purple...not opaque. Tightly aromatic on the nose....vanilla, red rose petal and rasberry, with a slight wafting of alcohol. This should open up as the night goes on. Incredibly smooth sweet velvety tannin. This is probably the finest, and most integrated tannin I've had in a CA cab....it's quite beautiful! Wonderful extract as well....decadent, but not overpowering. Some toasty oak and chestnut on the nice long finish...should get even better as this gets some air. Phenomenal wine. I have a hard time thinking the Herb Lamb can be any better! We'll find out on Sunday....I'll make sure I post some notes....96-97 pts. Awesome!

Sipping on this again tonight....

Hasn't changed much, although I did gas it. The acid is showing through a bit more than last night, but it's still as impressive. Great wine!
