2011 De Wetshof Sauvignon Blanc Blanc Fume - South Africa, Coastal Region (10/4/2012) -- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over a few hours -- NOSE: expressive; minerals; slight green jalapeno note; white peach and lychee aromas. BODY: medium-light to medium bodied; pale green-yellow color. TASTE: very minerally; zippy lime-orange setzer water; 13.5% alc. is well-hidden; good acidity; dry; medium-short to medium length finish of moderate intensity; simple, but interesting – I think it’s the mineral and acid that interest me; for drinking now.
