Scored this on auction for the rediculously low price of ~$6/btl ($32 on release). WS gives this a 93 - I quite agree, and might even go a nudge higher.
Wow, tremendous chardonnay that is drinking at it prime right now. . In the nose aromas of citrus, stone, peach(?), and spice burst from the glass. A clear core of clean, ripe fruit is complemented by explosive mineral notes to produce a tremendous, somewhat Burundian experience in the mouth. While this is clearly drinking well now, it shows no sign of fading and will hold for at least a couple more years.
