Bought this without knowing much about it. Was going to open it to share with my wife on our anniversary. Anybody have any tasting notes?

I passed on this vintage when it was released in December here in Ontario. The notes from the Vintages catalogue referenced Mr. Suckling, and are as follows:

A polished wine, with mineral, light mint and berry character. Medium-bodied, with layers of silky tannins and a fruity, fresh aftertaste. Best after 2003.

Based on that, I would say it would need a little bit of decanting, but should be fine otherwise.

I'm still holding onto my bottles of the '97, however.

Thanks again for your advice. I'm expecting to uncork it this weekend so I'll let you know what I think.
Regards
