2011 Château Thivin Côte de Brouilly - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Côte de Brouilly (10/24/2012)
Thivin is the oldest estate in this appellation. The vines are 50+ years old with herbs and flowers planted between the rows. Aged for 6 months in large barrels. This can age for a few years in bottle. I had the 2006 and thought it was outstanding also. Bought a magnum of this for $19 (less than half price). A serious Beaujolais. Floral nose. Paired with Thanksgiving dinner (good match with turkey). Fruity with notes of boysenberries and wild cherries. Light to medium bodied. 90-91 points.

That sounds very good, you're a wise man choosing Cote de Brouilly for pairing with your thanksgiving turkey, instead of some 100$ stuff. Didn't know the 2011 is such a great vintage.
