2006 Winesmith Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Penny Farthing - USA, California (7/19/2008) Brick in color. Smells like a deluxe pizza with tomatoe, green peppers, caramelized onion, and a few pepperoni. There is a shot of dusty fruit which just barely keeps your interest. Blue fruit and moderate acidity on the palate, finishes with a touch of dill-weed. Tannins tug on the tip of the tongue. A wine that is short in stature, but lovable for what it is, and it is a pizza wine. Bottoms up. (86-87pts.)
