Fabulous aromas of sweet candied fruit, light cherries. Elegant, balanced, with a wonderful long finish. This wine is so sweet you could hold it in your mouth forever not wanting to swallow. The finish is elegant and long with the taste of chocolate covered cherries. I give it between 98-99 pts. A wonderful wine for the money. I prefer it over the 91. It is amazing that this wine needs more time to drink at the perfect time!

It used to be beer, the old lady, & TV. Now it's wine, American Express, & this stupid forum!

My favorite wine.

I tasted layers upon layers of fruit and earth. I recall one layer of dried honey -- almost reminiscnet of a white Hermitage. One layer of molases. Porcini and truffles were everywhere. Like said above, the wine's primary fruit character was that of candied red fruits. It was viscous and full bodied, yet not heavy.

What dreams are made of.

In my opinion, the last great Dominus. Perhaps the 2001 will be comparable.
