Immed upon decanting, it opened with overpowering fruit aromas and a dry nutty, awkward taste. Began to soften at 60 mins, and really came together at 2 hrs. Well integrated tanins and fruit with leather, cherry and tobacco tones. A great wine with the capacity to improve over the next few years. Enjoy now or Hold. 93+pts

Was this their Library Reserve? I drank my last bottle over xmas dinner and it was excellent!

Yes, it was the Library Res, and I drank it because it was a "One Liner" on my inventory list and seemed ready to drink. I'd like to find a few more bottles and bring that "Line" back to life!!

You might have a hard time finding it, but you never know... I was at the tasting room last fall and they were selling the '96 Lib Reserve, but they might still have a bottle or two kicking around...

The one thing that I remember most about this wine was that it had a very peculiar mint taste, which wasn't a bad thing, just unexpected. Wished I had more...
