Prior to purchase, I knew nothing of this winery. The wine is being marketed as similar in style to a Spanish Garnacha which for me is a practically meaningless reference since I have had very few Spanish wines. The wine is dark strawberry in color. Pleasant aromatics. On the palate, this is somewhere between a Bandol rose and a youthful CDP. Strawberries, minerals and clove. Better on day 2 as it had shed some of its initial harshness. Didn't know what to expect and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, especially for $18. Given how light-bodied this is, I would probably serve this slightly chilled with a summer barbeque. Not going to knock your socks off, but a nice QPR. (88 pts.)

tomtom, I'm shocked anyone in Napa is growing Grenache! Do you know anything more about this winery?

Tilly, I don't believe the Grenache is grown in Napa, I didn't change the Cellartracker designation. When I went to the website, here was the description of the vineyard:

"The desert style terrain and ancient vines of Page One’s Northern California vineyard are as breathtaking a sight as their personality. The rays of the sun are blocked from the soil by the massive vines and the terrain is void of cover crop. The vines stand alone, as masters of their domain. The result is fruit in its purest form and a wine of unyielding personality and tone"

Here is the website if you're looking for more info. Sorry for the confusion on the post.
