2004 Melville Pinot Noir Estate - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Rita Hills (3/29/2006) We bought a couple of bottles of this at the winery. We couldn't wait any longer and had to have one. This wine was as terrific as our taste buds remembered. Wish we had more and hope we can hold off on the second bottle for a few years. (89 pts.)
I tasted this at a local wine store Pinot Noir wine tasting in late January. Of the wines tasted, it was my #2 WOTN, behind the 2003 Londer Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. It had a nice floral nose and good fruit on the palate. A good solid Pinot.
