Dark purple almost black in the glass. Very lush on the nose: blueberry jam, ripe black plums, dark cherry cordials, toasty oak, and dark chocolate. Rich and full-bodied on the palate; beautiful balance of sweetness and acidity; super-fine and well-integrated tannins; powerful structure building progressively from start to finish; acidity nicely frames and reigns in the sweetness of the sappy dark fruits translated from the nose to the palate; good length to the finish. Overall, palate was more elegant than the nose would suggest. Really good QPR. 91 verging on 92 points.

I had this wine last Monday and would agree with your assessment of the wine, specifically as to how the palate was much more restrained and in check compared to what would expect from the nose.
While the wine was nice, I don't feel the need to rush out and buy more. A solid 90, but not much more than that for me.

I would agree; I was updating my database this morning and had entered the following note after I consumed it: 90-91... I guess that would mean 90 verging on 91... In any case, a good wine to try but I didn't pick up more - although, I think even if I wanted to it's all sold out.
