This one is a real keeper, especially at the price of CAD$18.75. Any US wine under $20 that is drinkable, even a white, is a real find. The basic Cline zin and syrah are both almost CAD$20!
I have only a little viognier experience, but this one seemed typical: flowery, full, rich, smooth, a bit like a chard with a bit less weight and much more aromatic. We matched it with boneless chicken breast roasted with feta and yellow and orange peppers and it was a very good match. We usually have a sauvignon blanc with that dish but this worked well. Others here must like it as well because it was only released Saturday and is already gone from one store and almost gone from another.
Dick, do a search, I've talked about this wine a few times before.
For the record, it's made by Delicato. This Clay Station is a new brand made from a fairly large vineyard in the northeastern part of the Lodi appellation, and I've been very impressed with the quality and reasonable pricing.
