Hey fut, I'm drinking and liking vin santo!! Wink

Tasted at the best price-is-no-object wine bar I've ever been in, Pearl at the Renaissance Chancery Court hotel in London. while the prices are not cheap, this places offers more excellent wines by the glass, from all over the worls, than any other wine bar I found, and I spent lots of time looking! Big Grin

Medium bodied, silky smooth, very warm on the back of the throat, with rum raisin flavours predominating, also a nutty taste, maybe burnt almond, and white globe grapes. No bitterness on the finish but a little sweet-and-sour perhaps. Good stuff.

91 points.

bman,

Glad you enjoyed the wine. Smile Not surprising, really, since I know you really like sweet wines.

Although I've never had this, I think it's safe to say that if you really enjoyed this, you'll blow your mind if you get the opportunity to taste an Avignonesi Vin Santo at some point.
