no formal notes
attractive coloring & nose of subtle red fruits, oak & caramel... no where near as thick & rich as The Kilmore Pinot, this is more understated in style & flavor, showing the flavors of the fruit more, but in compromise with the depth & density of the Kilmore, a little heat as well, but both seem like they could age... a bargain OR Pinot i'd highly recommend & a winery that i'm starting to buy from more & more 91+ |

I've enjoyed this bottling too, though I probably would rate several points lower. But certainly a very good QPR ... I think I paid $15 for it. I might have one more bottle of this somewhere. Have to check for it...sounds like from your note it might have improved.
I also bought a few of the Sharecroppers Cabernet, which was pretty good. And have some '01 Casa Blanca Pinot, ' 03 Sinister Hand and '03 Dubrul Vineyard Syrah from Owen Roe. “Appreciating old wine is like making love to a very old lady. It is possible. eyes -
it was less than $20 where i was - that helped contribute to the 91, i usually associate that score with wines i'd buy multiple bottles of at that price point |

Kumazam,
It certainly is a nice QRP. Another under $20 pinot you might want to keep an eye out for if you haven't had it is Wells Guthrie's second label (he is winemaker for Copain). I think it is called L'hiver Printemp or something like that. He also makes a very nice syrah with a similar name though with L'Automne in the name (or I might have those switched). IMO both are worth picking up, though I haven't tried the current vintage (just the previous one, which I believe was the first and 2002). “Appreciating old wine is like making love to a very old lady.
