2006 Angoves Riesling Vineyard Select - Australia, South Australia, Clare Valley / McLaren Vale (5/22/2008)
WIML85

Tasted May 22, 2008 as part of the WinExiles May 2008 wine tasting.

Bottled under Stelvin. 13% alcohol. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of födel dominates with additional notes of acacia flowers and spiced pears. Simple flavors of white peaches and apricots. Light acidity, light body and an EXTREMELY short, tart finish. Dry, I'd say drier than a Kabinett. Considering this cost of over $18.00 per 750ml locally I'd definitely recommend seeking out any half way decent German QbA or lower end Kabinett instead. Drink now. (85 pts.)
