Found this on a wine list Friday nite. 14.5% alcohol. Dark ruby/purple. Nice nose with briary fruit, nice balance, nothing over the top but really a nice Dry Creek zinfandel. Probably best in another year but you can't go wrong now with this one. 91 points

How was that 2007 Rafanelli priced on the wine list?

I'm on the Rafanelli mailing list, but I've never seen a bottle on a restaurant wine list, outside of your area.

It was $50 and I was in the mood. This is my favorite Zin.

There's 5% or 7% Petite Sirah in it.

Nice price for a restaurant wine list; I think I pay $28 plus shipping, or about $33/$35 per bottle.

Rafanelli is a family owned winery that has been around for years. I made the mailing list when I visited Rafanelli in 2003 with Board-O, who was already on the list for a number of years! Otherwise, I don't think I could have made the list so easily.
