Elmer's glue, purple plumb fruits, casis, bramble, mint, wintergreen on the nose. Lots of wintergreeen on the palate. Savory, brown spice, cinommin, bitter chocolate. Full bodied, with with very good acidity. AMAZING finsh with loads of medium-hard, fine tannins. Finish lasts over a minute and the cinnomin is particularly pronounced.

92.5(+?)

Is this from Basilicata or Campania? I assume the former since the varietal is listed ...

You are right, Basilicata.

Also of note, this is the 'Terra dei Re' bottling... I will try to edit my post to include that...

Had again last night.

Decanted 2 hours, served out of Tritan Diva Burgundy stemware.

This wine just rocks. No formal notes, buth this has the mouthfeel of a rock star. Full bodied but with enough acidity to provide lift. Super-long finish. Sadly, this wine was not as expressive as my last example. Dark fruits, spice box, cinnomin, apples! But all very restrained. I wonder if this will get better with time? Or if it once was better? TONS of tannin on the finish, btw. Still a strong buy. 91.5
