Closed and tannic. It needs at least 2-3 more years. When I made the purchase I asked if the wine was drinking good now and they said it should be. Next time "it should" will be a red flag. This is more of a public service announcement than a tasting note. I will admit, at times this wine showed potential. You know how that last drop can smell and taste so good. Opening this was a waste of a $20. Don't be like me, if you own one, hold it.
