Thanks for the note Steffen!
This barely deserves a response.

Looking forward to your tasting notes Eek

For me wine is just like people:
"There are good people doing the bad things,
and there are bad people doing the good things"
Neither wine nor people are as simp[le as black and white.

It pains me to say this, but I agree with Grigond Ass: why take the chance with highly allocated wines?

I have found this with Pinot Noir more so than with any other varietal. Bottle shock in Pinot Noir takes about 3-4 weeks to start to disapate sometimes lasting 2-3 months to totally go away. Travel shock will usually settle down after a week or two. Its amazing how this is so typical with Pinot and not with other varietals. Anymore, I just let any Pinot sit for a while before tasting them. Fickle grape...

Just got my shipment in this morning. Opened one just to check it out, but I only have styrofoam cups here. I'll just swirl it around in there and wait 10 minutes. Should still be terrific.

I'll post notes right after I finish my egg sandwich and coffee.

had this last night for the 1st time... no formal notes, but it was delicious right out of the bottle and didnt last long. notes of strawberry, cream, powdered sugar and some slight cinnamon... lovely floral aromas on the nose that blend seamlessly on the palate, excellent balance with satisfying texture... a lovely wine, i can't wait until i open one from my stash in the fall

9/14/2008 rated 90 points: A solid well made pinot with great structure and aromas. On the palate was brown sugar, plum...almost port like, very rich. New world in style and seemed ready to drink without decanting. (Notes from Cellartracker)

It's not that I was expecting a lighter style but this still really surprised me.
