Dark purple in color. Notes of white flowers, creme de cassis, anise, briary blackberry, and toasty oak. Deep and dense, but still holding an elegant composure. Sturdy tannins, and a moderate finish. Lacking the intensity of fruit and length on the finish. This is better than the '02 Petrus I had a few months back. Very good, but clearly not from a great vintage. 92 pts.
