Medium ruby color with strong plum and pepper nose. Fruit bomb with lots of bright red fruit flavors. Was lacking in complexity and had a much shorter finish than I would have liked. Would probably work well with pizza or bar-b-que. I'm a big fan of d'arenberg and loved the '99 Footbolt, but this one didn't live up to expectations. 86 points.
