Dark unfiltered ruby color. Aromas of Cherry and spice. Good structure and balance with old world acidity. Flavors of cherry, plum, cola, and a hint of mint. Tanins a little pronouced on the finish but a really nice pinot now and very promising for the future. Think Gevrey Chambertin 90pts Oh yea, I think this was only around $30, a solid QPR. One of the ugliest label designs in wine. Sorry, I'm in printing.

M- I've had the 97 and 99 bottlings of their RRV version. The 97 was similar to what you described, actually probably better. It made an impression, I distinctly remember drinking it out on our deck about 5 years ago and being a bit amazed at the flavor intensity.

I agree with the QPR comment on the 2 vintages I've experienced.
