Being a novice to the world of wines I rely on this forum and other sources for ideas. I have had, thanks to many of you, the opportunity to try some wonderful wines this past year including the 1990 Chateau d Yquem, a 95 Beringer Howell Mountain, Bancroft Ranch Merlot and the 98 Chateau Beaucastle, Chateauneuf de Pape ( mispriced on a restaurant wine list for $45.00 [Big Grin] )

My friend, John Mahoney at Canal's in May's Landing, NJ has convinced me to try the just released 1997 Dry Creek Vineyards "Endeavor". This is their newest cabernet sauvignon effort and has been aged 3 years in oak and another year in the bottle prior to it's very limited release (500 cases). It sells for $50.00 and half the price must be for the bottle which is exquisite. It's twice as heavy as any other 750ml bottle. I am looking forward to the proper occasion for breaking the wax seal on this one. I will post TNs when I do.
