I'll be anxious to hear this as well. I'm a huge fan of the `98 Res Red (ONLY one left) & `98 Res Syrah (5). The reserve program at CC is a real gem.

Cheers!

WR -- how hard are these to find? My wife is presently in LA, and both CC and CSM reserve Cabs were on the list of wines I asked her to look for (and bring back, of course). She went to quite a few large stores, and no luck. Are they obtainable in Seattle?

This is a hard question to answer. I bought most of my stock last fall directly from the winery ($30 per). They were sold out by Christmas. In the Spring I found the Syrah at Costco in the Seattle area for about $21. I was pleased. They've since sold that through. I will sometimes stumble across it at the state run liqor stores. Are you Vancouver BC or WA? You may want to check there. I never did see any of the reserve products at supermarkets.

However, Beverages & More in the SF are had some when I was there this Spring. It's strange, they are great wines that are a bit of a challenge to hunt down. Costco but not markets, liqor stores but not wine shops....

Hope this helps...

Edit to show that I am talking about the `99 Syrah and the `98 Red. sorry..

Thanks, WR and tonester. I'm in BC. My wife looked in 5 stores (Wallys, Wine House?, and some others whose names I don't recall, but B&M doesn't sound familiar). She picked up some CA Cabs instead, so no complaints. I just expected--apparently incorrectly--that CC and CSM products would be easily obtainable all along the Left Coast.

The Wine Club in Santa Ana, San Francisco and Santa Clara have a great selection of these and other CC wines. All are around $22 per bottle. www.thewineclub.com.
