Hey Paul...

I decided to be a bit hypocritical and I actually posted a top 5 on another thread. I changed it about 4 times as I kept remembering what I have had this year. I could probably keep changing it as I try more. I think I posted under "WS forums top 10" thread, if I'm not mistaken??? I had an amazing Italian cab. the other day.....'00 Forti Terre Di Siscilia. Random, out of nowhere Siscilian cab. for $25 that blew my socks off. I'm trying to get more but it's hard to find. Dark, deep, rich, 14.5 alcohol, mega extract, and firm well integrated tannin. Complex dark fruit flavors, with bittersweet chocolate, spice box, and a complex palate full of flavor. If you can find it near you...pick it up!

-DRAB

So much wine.....so little time!!!

Drinking right now. Or should I say not drinking right now. I opened this last night and about choked on it. I suggest you pair this with a double dose of Zantac, or your faavorite antacid! This wine is for the sink. Retasted today with the same thoughts. It is an acidic and tannic monster. Parker says he feels "the dry tannins will age out." I say, who cares, it is still an acidic monster not worth the waste of my time to drink. My notes are: A full bodied wine, with flavors of grass, dried herbs, sweet, but bitter, blackberry vines. Yes the vines! with a long long green finish that lasts for an afternoon. eek I hope I am not holding back on how much I enjoyed this wine. WS 95 pts, parker 90pts. I think it is probably a 90 pt wine that I absolutely hate. eek Loved the 97 though.

It used to be beer, the old lady, & TV. Now it's wine, American Express, & this stupid forum!
