Not much different from the 05 or the 06.

open and decanted for 2 hours.

Very nice cherry cola on the nose. A slight cedar appears on the tail end of the sniff.

Opened next to an 05 Chassagne-Montrachet.

Clear difference that this was the "new world" wine.

Sweet cherry, distinctive cola flavor flows into a tart red berry that blends into an, opened for a while, seltzer finish.

Enjoyable bottle and well liked by the ladies for the sweetness.

91.

I had this wine twice now and both times I thought it was oustanding. Best young Pinot I ever had. You could make a candle from the scents of the nose, nose was crushed raspberry with traces of cinnamon. Wine was very concentrated with layers of soft ripe fruit, raspberry, blackberry and soft cherry flavors. The finish was well balanced with soft traces of spices that lingered for 30 seconds after the finish. 96 Points. Will be interesting to revisit each year for the next few years.

Perhaps 2 hours decant wasn't long enough?

It's a very good pinot and one that feels like it'll improve.

Maybe in a few years it might turn outstanding, I don't know.
