Thought I was opening a 2002. As the cork was on its way out I noticed it was a 2003. After 60 minutes it was balanced, smooth, and had a nice long finish with bursts of fruit at the end. A bit of pepper on the nose. This is very enjoyable. Combined nicely with Beef Stroganoff.

Wow Ben's 03 Release party at the winery was on November 5th for the entire Cadence lineup! I think it was bottled in early May.

popped and poured last night - no decanting. Very big wine that probably needs a bit of time but definitely tasty. Agree with the pepper on the nose as well as in the mouthfeel. Also some leather and spice. A bit short on the finish but smooth nonetheless. Needs a few years I think.

  Candied cherry fruits(cherry, blackberry) on the nose with some dark spices like clove. Fruity palate with a medium long finish. Nothing extraordinary and kinda lacks character but pleasant nonetheless. (90 pts.)
