Wonderful nose of raisins, black licorice, smoke, and tar. Incredible integration of silky smooth tannins with the sweet black cherries and mineral notes. My notes start to fall apart about here, but special thanks to Otis for this lovely wine. This wine will still has a lot of life left in it, probably a decade of fine drinking. My second favorite for WOTN. Otis, I hope you have more. 93

This was my WOTN. The berry flavors and currant really got me going. I found it delicious, yet still capable of evolving. The finish lasted 30+ seconds. Thx Otis. Score = 93+

Glad you guys enjoyed this, but credit goes to tw2, who helped me pick it out of his temp-controlled cellar at his shop.
By the time we started drinking this, it had been decanted for 7 hours, and I think it needed every hour.
Since this was one of the last wines of the night, my notes were sketchy. But I do recall a very soothing bouquet of tobacco, creamy cassis, and licorice. The palate was downy soft with no sharp edges. Decent fruit. The finish was the most impressive part and I agree that it could have aged and improved for another 5-10 years. A memorable wine. 92+P.

This wine was in the top tier of the Bordeaux served at our dinner. Dark reddish purple color. The nose reminded me of plums and grilled sausage. The tannins were dry and the flavors centered on dark fruit. Very well put together. A nice package. 90-92 points.
