From Puglia.

Deep ruby red to medium ruby rim. Very fragrant nose with crushed fruit, black cherry, and spice. Juicy, full-bodied wine with nice fruit, and a bit of pepper on the tongue. If the finish was a bit longer, this would easily be 90 points. Unfortunately the finish was a bit short, so it only gets 88 points. Awesome QPR at $12.50CAD a bottle.

I bought a half case on Saturday, and after tasting this bottle, I'm going to buy another half case tomorrow. Yes, it's just that good.

Futronic,

Glad you enjoyed this wine. Primitivo is a unique departure from all the other wines that we drink most of the time. Looking forward to meeting you in about 3 weeks. Have you been back to Whitlocks recently?

IW,

I'm also looking forward to dinner at the end of the month. Things have been very hectic for me as of late, so the best I've been able to do is a quick plate of pasta at Whitlock's a couple weeks ago. I missed their Italian wine pairing dinner that was last week, but I was definitely drooling over the veal chop they were preparing when Danny told me of the menu on his call to see if I was able to make it.
