  • 2004 Babich Sauvignon Blanc - New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough (3/15/2005)
Pale, almost clear color. Juicy grapefruit flavors with a nice flinty crispness. A straightforward refreshing NZ sauvie. Good value at $9. (87 pts.)

We had this about a week ago and I was a bit disappointed. My TNs would largely match yours, as I too found that grapefruit and flint dominated, but I prefer a less tart sb.

We had a previous vintage a year or more ago and liked it a lot. I was going to try another bottle but since our notes match so closely I guess this vintage is just not really my style.

Perhaps the 2004 Goldwater Dog-whatever sb that I'll pick up tomorrow will be more my thing?
